Classes
Thank you for your interest in the Sargasso Singing School.

Neesy Smith has been performing live since she was 16 years old, where she started at The Dorset Gardens Hotel singing Country and yes, Western. She now likes to perform a variety of genres, and after 35 years, she is still performing and just can't imagine her life without music. Singing helped her through the tradgedy of losing two children and helped her cope with bad depression and stress. Sininging has been with us since the beginning of time as an expression of joy, celebration, spiritual rejoicing and ofcourse in mourning.

For the last 5 years she has been working with a band called 'Fats Wah Wah'. They have released three CD's and are about to release their fourth. She has her own band called 'Cabin Fever' and they perform originals and and jazz and contemporary covers.

She taught for 2 years at Southern Cross Primary School to year 5 and 6 students as a 'Specialist Teacher' teaching 'Singing/Voice Development' 'Performance' and 'Rhythm', and ran the year 5/6 Choir. She also spent 8 weeks in the USA performing and promoting herself with Michelle Chandler.

At the moment she has her own radio show 'Now and Then' on Wednesday from 3pm till 5pm on 3MDR 97.1 fm.
